No matter how long the winter is, spring is sure to follow

Sometimes life is hard. You find yourself just surviving. We move from one task to another seeking to create a better life.

Sometimes we don’t see the full potential. There is more to living than just living. If we quit trying so hard we might see things in a different light.

Things are seen based on the direction of our focus.

Sometimes the bad things are so easy to spot. Sometimes the good takes a slower, more precise eye.

If you find yourself in a shadow and can’t find your joy take a step towards the light. Begin seeking the good. Stop and actually look for it. There is usually more there than we acknowledge. To be happy is a choice. Life is always going to be full of pain and suffering but we can choose to make the most of each moment. Even the bad ones.

2 Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed – that exhilarating finish in and with God – he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. – Hebrews 12:2
