When Doubts Creep In

doubts

Our eyes can be clouded and we don’t always see His path for us. His plan is much bigger than our minds are capable of comprehending.

At times the path we think we are on falls out from beneath us and leaves us questioning “why?” and “what do we do now?”. The path might hit a wall and appear to stop in its tracks. The path might turn around or switch directions as seen from our perspective.

But… We must still find our way and live in His will.

No matter how scared. No matter how hopeless.

We must remember His promises.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Joshua 21:45
Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Seek peace in His promises to never leave or forsake you. He is faithful to His people and we must trust in that! We might not understand now nor never but we must know that His will is just and will be done. There is power in his word. Believe it!

How do we seek Him?

Let faith arise. Turn to worship and a state of prayer. Reflect on His word.

Obstacles will present themselves and your potential as His disciple will be revealed with how you face these obstacles.

Humble yourself and realize His greatness is far beyond our own. We must embrace the Holy Spirit’s work in our life. We must trust that His love for us is unconditional.

Take your hand off of that thing that worries you so. Give its success to Him. Wether you want to have a child, find a husband, form a successful career, or live a better life lay it at His feet with a faithful heart.

It might follow a path of visible success quickly. It might take a while to do anything. It might fail completely according to your standards. Just always remember His will be done and His will is without flaw.

  1. April, this morning I hit a low. Not just any low but a low, low. And for the life of me I couldn’t shake it off. This post comes as a balm. It put His promises in perspective for me. And I’m only left to say, “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.”

    1. Vincy, I am so sorry to hear you are struggling! Life is full of ups and downs. Nothing is consistent or fully dependable. That makes our need for Him, His power, and grace that much greater! With a focus on Him things become a little clearer. The pain and suffering will not magically vanish but hope will appear. With hope, we can do anything. I hope your week gets better!!

  2. Let me start by saying you have a beautiful family! Next to God, family is everything. With that being said there are many if us that are standing in the gap for our spouses and for restoration of our marriages and family. It would be such a blessing if your husband would write a song, kinda like an “anthem” for us standers. Every marriage goes thru its ups and downs but when we learn to put God first and foremost everything else starts to fall into place, in God’s perfect time. Waiting on His perfect timing is hard but well worth it. So many of us wait, fast, and pray for

the strongholds to be broken and for our spouse to come baxk to God first and then back to us. What God has joined together let no man 0

    1. Put asunder. During our “stand” we learn to live our one fleah covenant spouse with the same unconditional love that Jesus has for us. We take our hurt broken hearts and lay them at the cross for Him to restore. With God all things are possible. Faith moves mountains and there are many of us that know that God will bring our spouses home. Thanks for listening and God bless.
